Shikshapatri Shlok 196

Our paramhansa sadhus shall follow the example of Bharatji the son of Lord Rushabhadeva, who on this earth in the ancient time behaved as an ordinary illiterate Brahmin to avoid attachment towards worldly things. |196|

અને પૂર્વે ઋષભદેવ ભગવાનના પુત્ર જે ભરતજી તે જેતે પૃથ્‍વીને વિષે જડ બ્રાહ્મણ થકા જેમ વર્તતા હતા તેમજ પરમહંસ એવા જે અમારા સાધુ તેમણે વર્તવું. |૧૯૬|
