Established in 1998, the Yuvak Mandal has quickly become the heart of our Temple. For the future of our youth in mind, in April 1998, we began our very first Bal Mandal class on Sundays. These sabhas sought to teach children about our Hindu heritage and culture whilst embedding vital Vaishnava qualities such as respect, humility, and appreciation towards others as positively endorsed by Lord Swaminarayan.

Twenty-five years on, our Sunday morning Bal Mandal Classes continue to flourish. Children aged between 5 and 16 attend every week to develop in their personal spiritual journeys and develop lasting friendships with those on the same path in their Satsang.

It was the vision of the Late Mahant Purani Hariswarup Swami that founded the Wednesday Yuvak Mandal on the auspicious day of Ganesh Choth, falling on Wednesday 7th September 2005. His vision was to ensure that satsang (religion) continues to beam with radiance and glory and be the center of the community for generations to come by establishing the 'Shree Swaminarayan Yuvak Mandal' globally, specifically for over 13s.

Fast forward 18 years, our Wednesday Yuvak Mandal Sabhas have become the lifeline for our youth to not only learn about the relevance of our Satsang in the modern day but also to meet and socialize with haribhaktos within the mandir environment, where friends have now become family. Together we uncover hidden gems in our Hindu scriptures that guide us through life, developing strong bonds and essential life skills. Wednesday Sabhas now see over 300 people attending weekly ranging from those aged 5 to 45!

Above all, this Yuvak Mandal has allowed our youth to connect and learn from each other, looking up to/selecting role models within our Yuvak Mandal to guide them through their spiritual and personal lives. Not only do we carry out activities in mandir, but also increase social team building through various trips outside Mandir such as our annual Shibir's held for the youth, where they spend up to a week away together and learn about Satsang while engaging themselves in fun-filled activities. We continue to carry the torch left by Late Mahant Purani Swami Hariswarupdasji and today celebrate the incredible 25 years of our Yuvak Mandal!
